When I interviewed June (not her real name) a couple of months ago to learn what it was like for her as a stripper I wasn't aware of the impact that her story and your responses would have on so many people... including June.

By the grace of God we were able to find the money to fundraise the money to pay off June's credit card debt and she quit stripping for good!

A few weeks ago June came over to our house for a drink and I got a chance to catch up with her in person. Listening to her story brought to the surface feelings of sadness, outrage and...a little joy. She's out of the industry but her healing is far from over.

During our conversation I roused up the courage to ask her if she would consider going to confession. Part of me didn't really want to ask, after all, I had gained her trust this far and the last thing I wanted to do was turn her off by coming across as preachy or holier-than-thou. On the other hand, if I weren't to ask her, would it ever happen? So I asked her. She said "absolutely! But I'm scared".

My wife and I spoke with her about the beauty of the sacrament, the fact that the Priest was not there to judge but to offer God's mercy, that Priest was bound to absolute secrecy and could never divuldge the information she was to give him.

So....SHE WENT! We arranged for a good and holy priest to come over our house one night and thuogh June was white with fear before going in, she came out with a bounce in her step.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. I believe wholeheartedly that if it were not for your prayerful support, she may have turned to the Lord for mercy and healing.

  Thanks be to God. While I don't know who June is, I have 'known' any number of women who have a story similar to June's
  (though I knew them without being interested in their story). Reading June's interivew was humbling. You're in my
  thoughts and prayers, June. As a man who has 'used' women instead of loving them, can I just apologise for the damage
  men's lust has caused you. God bless.
